Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic System

Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic System

For locations without grid access or projects that require full autonomy, we design independent off‑grid systems. With modules, charge controllers, inverters, and lithium batteries, they ensure stable supply day and night, replacing diesel generators and reducing costs and environmental footprint.

  • Energy autonomy and independence: 24/7 operation without the grid. Backup with next‑generation, efficient, and safe lithium battery storage (BESS); scalable capacity and autonomy for hours or days.

  • Load management and auxiliary generator: Prioritization of critical loads and automatic generator start/transfer when required.

  • Operation and maintenance (O&M): Preventive maintenance plans, online monitoring, and intelligent energy management to maximize performance throughout the system's lifetime.

  • Environmental contribution and impact: Every solar kWh reduces diesel use; on average ≈850 kg CO₂ is avoided per MWh compared to 100% diesel generation.

On-Grid Solar Photovoltaic System

On-Grid Solar Photovoltaic System

On‑grid systems (connected to the utility) operate under Chile's Distributed Generation or Net Billing framework, allowing you to inject excess energy into the grid and receive regulated compensation. They are ideal for lowering your electricity bill while using the existing grid as backup.

  • Economic savings and profitability: Under Net Billing (Laws 20.571 / 21.118) you can inject excess generation and receive compensation; investments typically pay back in 3–6 years, depending on consumption and solar resource.

  • Integration and electrical safety: Design in accordance with SEC/IEC standards, protections, metering, and procedures with the SEC and distribution company for a safe, compliant interconnection.

  • Operation and maintenance (O&M): Preventive maintenance plans, online monitoring, and smart energy management to maximize performance throughout the system's lifetime.

  • Environmental contribution and impact: Each solar kWh cuts emissions, avoiding on average ≈240 kg CO₂ per MWh generated.

Hybrid Solar Photovoltaic System

Hybrid Solar Photovoltaic System

Combines the best of both worlds. A hybrid on‑grid system with backup integrates solar generation connected to the grid with storage to ensure continuity of service. Under normal conditions it prioritizes self‑consumption and allows exporting excess to the grid. During outages or voltage fluctuations, the backup activates with UPS‑type automatic transfer (milliseconds), keeping power uninterrupted for critical loads or all circuits, depending on the electrical design.

  • Economic savings and profitability: Under Net Billing (Laws 20.571 / 21.118) you can export excess energy and receive regulated compensation. Typical payback is 5–8 years, depending on consumption and local solar resource.

  • Battery backup (BESS): Energy storage with lithium (LiFePO₄) batteries—efficient and safe. Capacity and autonomy scale with your consumption profile.

  • Operation and maintenance (O&M): Preventive maintenance plans, online monitoring, and intelligent energy management to maximize performance throughout the system's lifetime.

  • Environmental contribution and impact: Every solar kWh saves costs and reduces emissions, avoiding on average ≈240 kg CO₂ per MWh generated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Net Billing or Net Billing is the system that allows regulated customers (residential or commercial) to generate, consume and inject into the grid their own energy based on NCRE (non-conventional renewable energies). Net Billing is regulated through Law 20.571, which establishes the right of users to sell their surplus to the electricity distributor at a regulated price, which is published on each of their websites. So, if you have a solar plant in your home, you can benefit from the Net Billing law, generating and consuming your own renewable energy, along with selling your surplus to distributors.

In general, solar panels last between 25 and 30 years. However, this does not mean they stop producing electricity after 25 years, it only means that energy production has decreased by what manufacturers consider a significant amount (15% less than their initial capacity). Solar panels can continue operating for many decades as long as they are not physically damaged by wind, debris, or any other external factor. This is mainly because solar panels have no moving parts; they rarely break from the inside and are generally only damaged by external forces, such as poor rack installation or inclement weather.

Even when you install solar panels on your property, you will remain connected to the grid, as this allows you to draw energy from the grid when your plant is not producing all the energy you need or inject it into the grid when it produces more than you consume. It is possible to disconnect from the grid with a solar energy system that includes battery storage, but it has a significantly higher cost and, in most cases, is unnecessary. However, don't hesitate to contact us if you're interested in evaluating storage solutions.

Panels and inverters are manufactured to last at least 25 years and require minimal maintenance. However, we recommend that you perform an annual cleaning with our specialized team to ensure optimal operation, scheduling a visit with our executives.

Of course, there is the 'installation warranty' that lasts 1 year (ensures proper installation). In addition, our equipment has a warranty from suppliers, which covers 15 to 25 years depending on the type of panel chosen, 5 years for inverters and 25 years for the structure (15 years in coastal areas).

The panel manufacturer is responsible for the warranty. The warranty is valid for the manufacturer and not for the installer. Therefore, if the manufacturer goes out of business, the warranty of the components remains valid.

Yes, we offer technical service for maintenance and warranty management for all our installations. We have personnel in the Metropolitan Region and also in the VI Region, Navidad commune between Matanzas, Puertecillo and Pichilemu.
